Taco soup & shrimp spaghetti

Hey Everyone! Hope your all doing fantastic! This week has been pretty exciting for the most part!

Monday: Did the same as every week. Played basketball and some frisbee golf ⛳️
We had a meal at the McCotters house, and they fed us taco soup, which reminded me of home a little.

Tuesday: Went to B-Dubs for lunch with the district. Went on an exchange with the dawg Elder Hart to his area, which is still technically my area, but we focused on talking with swahili people. I spoke a few words to them, and that was pretty fun! We weren't hungry at dinner time, so we just did a few rounds of bowling, which was super fun!

Wednesday: Did a bunch of finding, until we had dinner at the Farleys. I was very hunger, but not excited to see what was for dinner. Shrimp spaghetti!! I was not excited about that, but i got down what was put on my plate, with the help of about 10 rolls.

Thursday: We had interviews with president today. Super Chill! Had a good lesson with one of our friends who will probably be baptized soon. Played some basketball that night with some of our friends.

Friday: We had apartment inspections this morning, and because of that, I was up last night cleaning our entire place. We got 5 checks, which is the best score to get!  Had ZLC in Fondu lac, which about a 45 minute drive away. Right after that, I went on an exchange with Elder Sperry who is my ZL. He's super cool! We had a chill night with a member meal, who made us plain flavorless spaghetti, and then a lesson with one of there friends.

Saturday: Today was a very sunny day, and that seemed to make a lot more people happy and willing to talk with us, because we found a good amount of people today! One guy we found did a freestyle for us. Check out the photos to see it! We talked with this guy fishing on a doc for a while, sadly he wasn't interested, but we caught a bass while we were talking to him. 😂

Sunday: Our friend Jane finally came to church today. It was so awesome! Had a chill day. We had dinner with the Soza family, and they are pretty fun! Had a great lesson with 2 of our progressing friends. Talked with our friend Bret who will be baptized this Saturday!!! He's been waiting a long time, but the Lord has found a way for him to be baptized!

Weather Report: Its been pretty nice this week for the most part! No crazy storms this time!

Spiritual Thought: Helaman 3:27 "Thus we may see that the Lord is merciful unto all who will, in the sincerity of their hearts, call upon his holy name." A few weeks ago I started praying and asking for the opportunity to give someone a blessing, because I hadn't done it in a while. Well this week, on my exchange with elder Sperry there was this kid named John who fractured his finger and was getting ready to leave for his mission. There were 3 people in the room for him to choose. Without even knowing who I am, he picked me. I was super excited. I definitely felt led by the spirit during the blessing! I know that God does hear and answer our prayers. It may not always be answered at the time youd like, but its at the time God needs it to be!

I hope everyone is doing good!! Love you all ❤️ Email me! Elder Root out 🫡
