Elder Gavin Root - Wisconsin Milwaukee Misson

T his week went by really fast, but a lot of crazy and fun things happened!  Monday P-day: It was chill we went to a music shop and played some cool guitars and pianos! Then went to the church and played basketball with some other missionaries. Me and my comp went to B-Dubs after that!  Tuesday: Had a good district council about door etiquette! Then went on an exchange with the elder Dixon a swahili elder. So I basically just followed him all day because I couldn't really say anything. Thankfully our last lesson of the day, the guy spoke pretty good English. I did learn to say, Gina Langu ni mzee Root. Which means my name is Elder Root. I said that to a few people, which was pretty fun!  Wednesday: We knocked a bunch of people today, and found a guy named Sagar! His address was a gas station so it was a little weird going in there, but he actually seemed really cool! Thursday: We got to wake up a 5am to go help teach a seminary class at 6. H ey Everyone!! Its been a great week with lots of finding happening. We put a few people on date this week, and were getting them all ready to go!  Weather Report: Besides the massive snow snow it's been pretty decent weather. Mostly in the high 30's low 40's.  Monday: We thought we would be snowed in today, but we somehow got out of out parking lot and to the church building to play some basketball. We helped a total of 4 cars get out of the snow. It was so fun to help these people out!  Tuesday: Today we did a lot of service. We helped a new family move into there house, and then an older lady move some furniture. We helped her clean up her house little bit too.  Wednesday:  Zone Conference today. It was really good. They did a jello slurping contest with the entire zone and I took second place. I also learned a lot about relying on the spirit and why it's so important. Hello everyone, hope you all had an amazing week, just like I did! We found some really cool people this week, that hopefully will be able to progress towards baptism.  Monday: We had zone pday, and ir was just awesome. All the missionaries from around Appleton got together and played kickball, volleyball, gagaball, and the best part is that some kids brought some lacrosse sticks, so I got to mess around with those too!  Tuesday: Had district council and it was pretty good. Then ate some lamb at a members house. It was mid honestly. Played some more volleyball for a church activity. Wednesday: We had an exchange with the AP'S, so I got to go to Milwaukee! I went with Elder shirts. It was so pretty down there. It was a crazy day for sure because we didn't get dinner until 8 that night, and I didn't get lunch either.  Thursday: Exchanged back with my comp. Super Chill day.   Hello  everyone! This week, I started the new transfer in Appleton. This place honestly looks a lot like Caldwell, and it's kinda trippy! My new comp Elder Dushku, is pretty cool. He is very smart, and knows a lot of the super deep stuff. I've noticed that comes in handy here, because people bash us just about everyday.  Weather Report: It's been getting up to the 50's, so it's been super nice. A little bit of rain, but i like the rain!  Wednesday: Went to Neenah to get my new comp. First thing we did was hit up Sam's Club and get some pizza. Later that day, we went to a Lutheran church service. It was super interesting. Thursday: We have a friend getting baptized named Monica, who passed her interview today, so that was hype.
