Elder Gavin Root - Wisconsin Milwaukee Misson

  Monday: P-day was chill! Went to a game store and played some games with the people there. It was pretty fun. I gave a blessing to a lady we are teaching. Boom boom sauce at culvers is gas!     Tuesday: We went and visited a recent convert who was baptized before I got here, and he told us he was feeling really alone. We weren't even able to tell him anything before he got up and left. He blocked our number and our Facebook. It was really sad to see him go because I got pretty close with him. Hopefully he can realize that he needs to come back to church. Wednesday: We went to Walmart to get some ingredients, but also did some public contacting. Some random lady walked up to us and gave us $50 Walmart gift card. Then when we went to check out our stuff, and a slightly less active member came up to us and paid for all of it. People are so nice here.  Thursday: Christmas was so good! We went over to a members house and they invited a whole family from a homeless ...

Green Bay/Wausau Zone Conference Monday: P day was chill. Played some basketball with some members. Then had a really long lesson with this older lady, because she did not know how to stop tallking. She was interested though, so that's what matters. Tuesday: Had a few lessons with our friends. Then had some elders in a different area spend the night since zone conference was the next day. We played some Magic with them! Wednesday: We had zone conference today and it was really fun. They talked a lot about asking questions and how you should go about doing it! I went on an exchange with elder Jensen to iron mountain. After about an hour of the way there, I get a message saying that all my stuff got left in the other car. So for the next 2 days I had nothing except for the clothes on my body, and my pillow. The nights were rough because all I had for a blanket was my coat! So I woke up a ton from being cold. Thursday: We had 9 lessons get canceled because there was a snow storm that ...

  Tuesday: Pday was chill. Had it this day because of transfers.  Wednesday: We had a lesson outside with a lady who was cuttin her deer open the whole time we were talking. It was really fascinating to watch, but she probably doesn't remember anything we told her. She did give us like 5 things of deer jerkey though and it tastes so good.  Thursday: Went to a school concert for a family we are teaching and have on date. It was pretty fun. Friday: Had a really good lesson with one of our new friends. He came to church on Sunday so that was hype. Saturday: Helped a member move out of his house at 8 in the morning, and it was horrible because it was like 2 degrees outside. We had a branch Christmas party. You already know that we got a ton of leftovers from that. Sunday: I gave a talk in sacrament. First of many! I think it went pretty well though.   Transfers: My p-day was moved to today because of transfers. Thankfully both me and my comp are still gonna be staying in Marinette. Im glad im staying because this place is so awesome!! Monday: We went to the rec center and did some sports and ran on the track. It was a good workout. Tuesday: We had district council and the spirit was very strong as everyone shared there testimonies. Then we got subway after. One of our friends wanted to hangout with us. Apparently here hangout means help them clean out there entire camper. It was very not clean in there.  Wednesday: We went and shoveled this lady's drive way and then she invited us in to meet with her and her son. The son tried to give us these really cool knifes, but we couldn't take them unfortunately. We were there during lunch time so she cooked us some chicken and vegetables.
