Merry Christmas

Monday: P-day was chill! Went to a game store and played some games with the people there. It was pretty fun. I gave a blessing to a lady we are teaching. Boom boom sauce at culvers is gas!

Tuesday: We went and visited a recent convert who was baptized before I got here, and he told us he was feeling really alone. We weren't even able to tell him anything before he got up and left. He blocked our number and our Facebook. It was really sad to see him go because I got pretty close with him. Hopefully he can realize that he needs to come back to church.

Wednesday: We went to Walmart to get some ingredients, but also did some public contacting. Some random lady walked up to us and gave us $50 Walmart gift card. Then when we went to check out our stuff, and a slightly less active member came up to us and paid for all of it. People are so nice here.

Thursday: Christmas was so good! We went over to a members house and they invited a whole family from a homeless shelter, and gave them a ton of presents instead of their kids. They were so happy to get things, they've never had before. It was so cool to see the light it brings to people when we give to others. Then we went to a different members house for dinner and it was so good. Normally im not a soup guy, but this soup was crazy good!

Friday: Just a normal day. Knocked some doors, had a lesson with a friend, and called some people.

Saturday: We were chilling in our car, having a video call lesson with our friend. Then randomly this guy named Martin(may or may not be homeless idk) snuck right up next to my side of the car door. I jumped so hard, he scared the crap outta me. The lesson still went really good. She definitely was feeling the spirit as we were teaching her.

Sunday: We had a baptism of a family of 4 today. It was so cool to watch them take their next step in coming closer to Jesus Christ. We went to a members house for dinner, and they gave me and my comp our own $50 Walmart gift cards. So now we have a total of $150 to spend at Walmart.

Weather Report: It's honestly been a super nice week. Mostly chilling in the mid 30's, but then on Sunday it started snowing really hard while we were sitting in culvers. When we started driving home the roads were already covered in snow and super slick. I'll be honest i wasn't really paying attention while I was driving home, and I may have totally ran a red light. I swear I tried to hit the brakes, but we just slid, there was no stopping, so I had to just commit to going through. Thankfully the guy who was about to T-bone us saw us coming, because I could not have done anything to stop the car.

Spiritual Thought: I truly know that the Lord is protecting his children, especially us missionaries while we are teaching the gospel. Its still important to be wise and aware in the decisions you make, but some times we slip up. Literally. I know that when we are faithful and obedient to his laws he will not only protect us, but bless us aswell.

I hope everyone is doing good!!
