District Monkey


Hey Everyone, hope your all doing well! This transfer went by extremely fast! Sadly, I will be leaving Marinette, and Elder Torgerson, and heading to Appleton with my new comp Elder Dushku! He is the District leader of that area, therefore making me the district monkey 🐒! Im excited to see a new place though, and learn new things from him! I'm gonna make this email a bit shorter and just share the good stuff.


We had district p-day on Monday and got to play some pickleball and go bowling. I went on exchanges with Elder Pappenhiem! Me and him had one really good lesson with D'Angelo. He's so awesome. 

Some members make us homemade chick fila.It was the best thing ive had in a while. 

Ate some delicious steak at the elders quorum activity. We had a friend show up to that, which was pretty cool.

Sunday night devo was awesome this week. Brad Wilcox spoke to us, and it was super good. He gave us an example of how we should properly invite a person to be baptized. He also talked a lot about grace, and the atonement of jesus christ. One thing i remember him saying is "His merits mean he loves us, his mercy means he loves us just the way we are, and his grace means he loves us enough to help us change."  I recorded the whole thing, but I cant remember everything he said. Overall it was a really good week!

2 Nephi 2:8 "Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise."

Week 9 beacuase apparently I skipped a week

Monday: We went to a rec center to play some basketball. Then after we decided we wanted to do some sprints. Right before we started, this huge group of little kids came into the gym and were told by their teacher to sit silently against the wall. So all the little kids were just starring at us, so we decided not to do sprints anymore. Maybe next week.  Tuesday: Nothing crazy today. Went to Culvers.  Wednesday: We had a Thanksgiving dinner with a family.It was super good. The family is on date for baptism so that's good.  Thursday: Thanksgiving!!! It was a super chill day. Had one lesson with a member then we went to a members house for dinner. I was a little sad to find out that they had 2 huge huskies, which means they had dog hair all over there house. It was insane. That wasn't even the worst part. The hair was all over in the food too. It was horrible. One good thing was that we got to watch the last half of the Cowboys vs Cheifs game. My comp cooked us a chicken alfredo from scratch which was actually pretty good. Tuesday: Today was just a really chill day. We had 2 lesson that went really good, and we were able to find a new person.  Wednesday: We had zone conference, so we drove about an hour to green bay for that. It was really good! They announced that the North and South Milwaukee zones are now allowed to drive to the Chicago temple for there pday if they want. Im hoping I'll serve over there eventually so I can go for that. Week 3

  Hello everyone!!! It's been an awesome week!  Tuesday: I woke up at 3:30, and headed to the airport. It took 2 flights to get to Milwaukee. Right before me and my MTC comp got on our 2nd flight, we talked to this lady and ended up giving our first Book of Mormon away. It was pretty cool! Also, apparently you can't have liquid in your carry on, so I had to throw away pretty much all of my soap  . Wednesday: I met my new companion, his name is Elder Rupert. He's pretty cool, and he's a hard worker which is good. If your wondering what he looks like, just picture Elder Marshall . I found out my first area too. I'm currently in Marinette Wisconsin. I'm like right on the border of Wisconsin and Michigan, so im constantly going to both states. Also my companion can't drive, so I've had to drive, and boy this place is weird is with its stop lights. I've took so many wrong turns too. Its horrible.
